Hoboken-Based Startup Launches Science-Backed Hangover Prevention Supplement

A new wellness startup, Not Drugs, has launched a hangover prevention supplement designed to help drinkers feel better the morning after by supporting the body before symptoms begin.
The company’s flagship product, Rebound, is positioned as proactive hangover support rather than a recovery remedy. Instead of masking symptoms after drinking, Rebound focuses on ingredients that assist the body while alcohol is being metabolized.
“Most hangover products are taken too late and are under-dosed,” said Nick, co-founder of Not Drugs. “We wanted to build something simple and transparent that actually supports the biology of alcohol processing, not a mystery blend that promises miracles.”
Rebound contains L-cysteine, vitamin B6, and vitamin C. L-cysteine has been studied for its role in neutralizing acetaldehyde, a toxic byproduct produced when the body breaks down alcohol. Vitamin B6 supports neurotransmitter production linked to nausea and brain fog, while vitamin C provides antioxidant support.
Unlike many supplements in the category, Not Drugs publishes its ingredient dosages and pricing upfront. The company says Rebound delivers more than twice the active ingredients of leading competitors at roughly half the price.
Not Drugs is a self-funded startup based in Hoboken, New Jersey. The company plans to expand its product line in the coming year with additional wellness supplements built around the same science-first, transparency-driven approach.
